Brian Lisus is a well-known violin maker living in Cape Town, South Africa.

A master craftsman of international standing, his instruments are renowned for their aesthetic beauty and their exceptional tone.

Brian graduated in 1979 from the Newark School of Violin Making in England and has been making stringed instruments professionally for the past 25 years.

Over the years Brian has taught many students – some from as far afield as Canada! He has a hands-on approach and instils in his students a passion for violin making.

Please note that to ensure personal attention the number of students per class is limited. Students are enrolled on a first-come first-served basis.

Should any student prove to be disruptive to the class, they will be requested to leave the course and they will forfeit their tuition fees.

Brian Lisus takes no responsibility in the event of a theft on the premises and a student’s tools and work being stolen. The same applies for fire damage and the like.
